Yes, I get asked that question every time I wear this jacket. It's my third Range Wax Drifter Coat in fifteen years. For size reference, I am 6'4", 205#, 45" chest, 38"/40" waist and 37" sleeve length. Size XL fits me perfectly. Since this jacket is "full cut", you can layer up for added warmth. During winter, I layer up with a 250 or 400 weight merino wool undershirt or a 250 weight merino wool shirt under a grid fleece hoody. With that combination, it keeps me plenty warm. Residing at an elevation near 10K feet here in Colorado, I have this jacket with me in my pickup truck all year long. I use it often during late spring through early fall as well. Schaefer thought of everything when designing this jacket. Plenty of zipper pockets, front snaps, rear twin vents with snaps (great for that time in the saddle) and nylon lining for easy on and off. It is my favorite SRO piece of clothing. Extremely satisfied with all my SRO clothing and accessory items over the past 20 years. I am a true and faithful user of the Brand.

I really like this coat. It's a perfect outer layer for wind and rain protection. Fits true to size w/ enough room left to layer underneath for extra warmth if needed. It's not an insulated jacket, which is exactly what I wanted. And, it's also great looking and quite comfortable. This is my first Schaefer Outfitters item, but it won't be my last. Next up is a vest and then maybe the wool, insulated Drifter Coat for Winter.
Great jacket and I like it because it falls below the belt line. This one is really well made but FULL CUT. Call to ask about sizing as this one runs a size bigger. Customer service was off the charts getting me out the next size down and the smaller size fit perfect. Went from large (true size) to Medium.
