In order to prevent the transfer of oils, avoid prolonged contact between RangeWax goods and light-colored fabrics. Do not wash. Do not dry clean. Do not starch or iron. Do not store wet garment in confined area. Do not hang on radiators, expose to naked flame, or use artificial heat to dry. To extend the life of this garment; hang to dry naturally. Sponge with cold water when soiled and brush off grit with a soft brush. Periodically reproof seams, areas of abrasion, and any other areas that begin to look dry with refinishing ointment. Be aware that essential re-proofing may mark other clothing or fabrics particularly when unlined garments are worn.

A waxed canvas made to tackle the elements and age like the best bourbon you've ever had. The RangeWax® Blacktail Quilted Jacket features 5.5 ounce, Halley Stevensons wax cotton canvas. Imported from Scotland from a premiere mill established in 1864, known for being the most durable waxed canvas in the market. With an upgraded insulation of 100 grams, this quilted jacket creates a total weather-ready three-season shell. Every detail, from the flip-up corduroy collar, heavy-duty two-way zipper, six-pocket front, left chest security pocket, two interior pockets, and adjustable snap cuffs was conceived to provide the most function possible.

    Great Jacket

    Honestly, a great jacket. I initially ordered a large based on the sizing chart since the couple other Schaeffer jackets I have are also a large. I read through the reviews and it was 50/50 on order your normal size and order a size down. I ended up basing my decision on height and weight to find what was closest to me and the size ordered. I received the jacket and tried it on, only to see that I should have went down to a medium. Extremely roomy and I could probably fit another one of me in it. I immediately ordered another one in a medium and gave the large to my friend for his birthday. I wasn't how sure it was going to hold up to Upper Peninsula Michigan weather, but it is amazingly warm with either a vest or hoodie as an under layer. the mornings have been averaging around 19-22 degrees and I have not felt the cold yet. Great product as usual from this company.

    Ok, full disclosure, big fan of Yellowstone.

    That said, I am also a big fan of cool jackets, and this one is a bull’s-eye! First off I am 6 feet tall and weigh 170 pounds and the medium fits perfect. I was a little concerned looking at the model photos as the jacket looked a bit frumpy on some of them, like it’s too big. By your size and do not size up! A large would’ve been frumpy on me as well. That said, I love the quilted jacket, I love the fit, and it is very warm for what it is! I can easily layer underneath for warmth, or just wear over a shirt on warmer days. I don’t know what it is about this jacket it’s just cool! I think it is well worth the price and I think it is a well-made coat. I also really appreciate the longer sleeves as I have long arms. Bottom line, you don’t have to own a ranch in Montana, or pretend you’re on a ranch in Montana, to love this jacket! Life is too short to wear junk!

    Great jacket. Would buy again

    i bought this jacket two seasons ago and it is great. Actually gets better every year. I have a Filson oil coat and actually like this one better.
