Location: Austin, TX | Remote an option for the right candidate, travel required
Job Description
We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and highly organized Brand & Community Manager to help expand the reach and resonance of Schaefer Outfitter across digital platforms, brand partnerships, and in-person events.
This role owns our organic content ecosystem—from social media storytelling to influencer relationships to boots-on-the-ground brand building. You'll work closely with the marketing and product teams to create, coordinate, and amplify brand moments that feel authentic, rooted in Western heritage, and built to last.
This position is ideal for someone who understands both the Western lifestyle and the digital landscape, and who’s just as comfortable running a content shoot as they are running a caption through spellcheck.
Responsibilities
· Manage Schaefer’s organic social channels, including content planning, posting, community engagement, and reporting
· Lead affiliate and influencer programs—identifying, onboarding, and managing relationships with brand-right partners
· Attend brand events, tradeshows, and activations as an on-site content creator and brand representative
· Assist with cross-functional content creation including campaign planning, photoshoots, behind-the-scenes stories, and internal brand culture documentation
· Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure brand voice, visual standards, and key messaging are consistent across platforms
· Monitor relevant trends in Western, outdoor, and lifestyle content to keep Schaefer’s voice distinct yet current
Qualifications
· 2–3 years' experience in content, marketing, or social media roles
· Familiarity with the Western, ranching, or outdoor lifestyle strongly preferred
· Proven ability to manage multiple content calendars and deadlines
· Strong written communication skills and a sharp visual eye
· Comfortable on-site at events, behind the camera, or in front of customers when needed
· Familiarity with tools like Instagram, TikTok, Canva, Meta Business Suite, and influencer platforms
· Willingness to travel periodically (including weekends) to support brand events and content capture
Benefits
· Health & Dental Insurance
· Employee discount
· Flexible PTO
· Flexible work location
· Travel opportunities
· Creative autonomy in a legacy Western brand
