I got these jeans in a size too big thinking they might shrink. They wouldn’t have shrunk a full two inches and I easily exchanged them for the right size. If you normally get a 30 waist size…then that’s what you order. I washed them in cold water and hung them to dry…after a very short tumble on low in the dryer…just to get the wrinkles out. I did use fabric softener in the rinse cycle. I absolutely love them!

I loved the Schaefer Women's Ranch Hand jeans, and was very disappointed that they were discontinued. The new styles, including Katy Jean, had different sizing, and I reached out to Customer Service for guidance. Given my information - I wore a size 0, with a 32" inseam with the Ranch Hand Jeans - Hali in Customer Service recommended Katy jeans based upon my information, and although they seem to be a slightly less hefty denim, the fit was really good, and I was pleasantly surprised. I chose the smallest size - 25" waist and 32" inseam, and these worked very well.
