Shearling Coat

I've only had the coat a short time, the temperature is now starting to change, I trust I will like this coat in the colder temps. The sheepskin is great, it seems well constructed. I have problems getting the right size of coats/jackets at Schaefer Outfitter. The first wool coat I purchased was a medium and it's big on me. The next jacket I purchased a small and it fits good. So I ordered another small for the shearling coat. Chest is good, shoulders are good, sleeve length is good. However, the sleeves are tight due to the shearling material. It will be fine with a denim shirt, but I'm quite sure it won't fit over a sweater, at least not in the sleeves. Overall I'm glad I got this coat. I said I order small coats from Schaefer, but the size chart would recommend a medium (which I found is too big). Maybe I'm between sizes?

This is a beautifully constructed coat that fits like it was bespoke made for me. The shearling lining is soft and warm and the leather outer is rugged but stylish enough to wear to social event. Whether I'm out in the elements or just walking to the party, this coat will take care of me in style. I couldn't be any happier than I am right now with this coat. What a value! I'm 6'2", 195 with an athletic build. The coat is broad at the shoulders and tapers to the waist creating a very clean fit.

I really love this coat. I can’t wait to experience it when it’s a bit more broken in, as it come pristine and a bit stiff, as it should. But I think it will become part of me when I’ve worn it on a few long walks with the dogs and on the sidelines of the coldest kid soccer games.

If I changed anything, I might want it a tad longer and maybe some inside pockets for things like a phone and glasses, but I don’t really know if that’s true yet. It’s so driver, and this is a December to March coat in Colorado.
