Excellent Customer Service
This is my first purchase with Schaefer. I originally ordered a medium and had to return it for a size large. I'm 5'7" and 160 with a 44 inch chest and 35 inch waist. The exchange went off with out a hitch. Excellent customer service.
The jury will be out with regard to durability. My previous barn coat lasted 25 years. I like the pocket flaps as my old jacket didn't have that feature and my wife always complained about hay etc flying out of them when ever I was in the house and diggimg around my pockets for something. Speaking of which, the inside pocket on this new jacket seems weak. The sleeve linings are not the best with regard to warmth, but they'll do.

Rugged and comfortable
This jacket is tough. The canvas is stiff until broken in - which is great. The jacket fits a little loose on my midsection which allows me to layer a hoodie or flannel. The lining on the torso is quite soft and warm. The polyester sleeves are a little cold on bare skin when you put it over a tee. So far about five wears and it probably needs 25 more to really break it in. I expect my son will be able to wear this jacket when he’s grown. It feels good.

Great Jacket, Arms not Lined
I like the look and feel of this jacket. I love the color and the durable canvas. The liner is warm. The one drawback, and the reason I gave it four stars rather than five, is that the arms have only a nylon liner. In cold weather the fleece liner keeps my body warm, but the unlined arms leave my arms more exposed and feeling a little cold. I assumed the arms would have the fleece lining as well.
